Mirza Ghalib’s original Takhallus (pen-name) was Asad, taken from his given name, Asadullah Khan. At some point early in his poetic career he decided to adopt the pen-name of Ghalib (meaning all conquering, superior, most excellent). Ghalib wrote on Love, Philosophy and God. His work is profound. In this episode I have narrated the best couplets of Ghalib on various topics like, “Who is Ghalib”, “Ghalib on Philosophy & Religion”, “Ghalib on Love, Longing and Heartbreak”
